Concrete Harbor Magazine is a space for young creatives who want their work taken seriously. If you’re making art that respond to the world—whether through personal reflection, social critique, or something strange and unexpected—we want to read it. We publish original work by those aged 13–26, offer thoughtful feedback on every submission, and spotlight selected pieces in a carefully curated, high-quality magazine read by a wide, international audience. Submissions are competitive, but fair and blindly judged, and contributors are paid for their work.

Read Our First Issue
Our first issue brought together work from students across the world, from Minnesota, to Thailand, to Zimbabwe. We’re grateful to the countless students who trusted us with judging and critiquing their work. The volume and quality of submissions made the selection process especially difficult—choosing just a small number of pieces meant passing on many thoughtful, powerful works we admired. We are incredibly proud to put a spotlight on the exceptional work these young voices created.
Apply to our internship
Internships are open for students who want meaningful real-world work experience and an opportunity to demonstrate to colleges and employers that you're committed to make an impact on a widespread, international—not just local—scale. The position is fully remote, flexible, and requires a time commitment of approximately 30 minutes per day. While the position is unpaid, interns will gain valuable experience and build skills in business, communication, and design.

Due to the poor internet connection, her voice sporadically cut to static. She speaks slowly, with a Zimbabwean accent—her native language is Shona—but her words are sharp and dramatic. Read more.
