Ian Chen
Ian, the editor-in-chief and founder of Concrete Harbor, is a journalist who studies in Maryland. His First Amendment advocacy has been featured in the Washington Post. In his free time, you’ll probably find him working on a short story, listening to Mahler, or reading his favorite authors—Joan Didion, Ernest Hemingway, Franz Kafka, and Lorrie Moore.

Wendi Ling
Wendi is the graphic designer of Concrete Harbor. A lot her inspiration comes from Henryk Siemiradzki, Hideaki Anno, and Simone Legno. Her art won first prize at the 2025 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.

Priscilla Wu
Priscilla is a lead art editor of Concrete Harbor. She enjoys listening to music and making art in her free time. She is greatly inspired by the artist Van Gogh. She received an honorable mention from the Maryland Judiciary for the Conflict Resolution Art Contest.

Yusia Xiao
Yusia is a lead art editor of Concrete Harbor. They are a cartoonist and illustrator who loves watercolor, storytelling, and all sorts of creatures. Recently, they have been doing book productions and chipping away at their graphic novel. @fishyheady on Instagram.

Evyia Makrodimitri
Evyia is a graphic designer and art editor of Concrete Harbor. She’s a huge fan of Dostoevsky and much of her art is inspired by his work. She won the 2025 Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival design contest, a certificate of merit from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and her art has been commissioned by Ekaterini Nassika, the Greek ambassador to the United States.

Elle Langley (郭霓娜)
Elle is a social media editor of Concrete Harbor. She loves to dance hip hop, jazz, and K-pop. She won 2nd place for her dance solo at the 2025 Korus Festival and has performed at many venues including the Chinese embassy and a Washington Wizards basketball game.

Mikayla Hu
Mikayla is a lead poetry editor for Concrete Harbor. She is currently training to be an EMT and loves to write in her free time. She’s been tutoring English for three years, received a scholarship to the Kenyon Review Young Writers Workshop, and also reads for D.C.’s Gargoyle Magazine.

Chelsea Zhu
Chelsea, a poetry editor, is the number one fan of Concrete Harbor. She would like to read novels in French someday. She is involved in her school’s writing center, and outside of school, she enjoys mentoring students in poetry.

Lina Wu
Lina is an officer on the business team of Concrete Harbor. She has placed first at SCDC two times and qualified for ICDC two times in the past two years. She also particularly looks up to the artist Zhang Daqian.

Lucas Hahn
Lucas Hahn is a managing officer at Concrete Harbor. He enjoys many mediums of self-expression, including writing. He endeavors to create and experiment with his craft relentlessly. In 2025, he received honorable mention in C-SPAN's StudentCam documentary contest. He is inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli, Julie London, and E. M. Forster.

Beliz Zolnik
Beliz is the outreach director at Concrete Harbor. She enjoys skiing in her free time and has a huge passion for history, recently placing at National History Day. She loves the prose of Vonnegut.

Aarav Bhandari
Aarav Bhandari is an outreach officer for Concrete Harbor. He is also a sports editor for his school newspaper and teaches karate at his local dojo, helping others build integrity and confidence. In his free time, he enjoys playing the violin, listening to music, and following global sports.

Marcus Langlee
Marcus is an officer for the southwest region of Concrete Harbor. Marcus competes in coding competitions and placed first with his team at QHacks 2025 and 2026, while also briefly playing for Esports in 2024. Some hobbies of his include playing various online games with friends and playing an assortment of sports in his free time.

Aniyah Coleman
Aniyah is a poetry editor from Chicago. She won the 2026 StoryStudio Poetry Competition, and has been published in the StoryStudio Magazine, Concrete Harbor Magazine, and local library competitions. In her free time, you'll likely find her listening to Malcolm Todd, sketching, or in a library.

Alessandro is a prose editor who attends Carnegie Mellon. He's inspired by Toby Fox and Arundhati Roy.

Mia Karalis
Mia is a poetry editor. Her love of poetry has evolved throughout her teenage years, with much of her work drawing inspiration from some of her favorite nineteenth-century poets, including Emily Dickinson. She has received multiple regional accolades in the 2025 and 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, and is featured in Issue 2 of the Magazine.

Fatima Shah
Fatima is a poetry editor who lives in Ohio. She loves to read the works of Rumi. She won second place in her region's Stop the Hate Essay competition and writes for her school newspaper. She's currently working on a novel that she hopes to publish digitally in the future.

Daniel Li
Daniel is a business officer for Concrete Harbor. He is a first author and runner-up for Best Paper at the WIDE-HTR 2026 Workshop, a DECA ICDC qualifier, a BPA Virtual Business Challenge national champion, and conducts hospitality and tourism research at Villanova University. He has also studied business, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship through Wharton's Leadership in the Business World.
